Job description

Support a large-scale integration programme by designing and delivering secure, reliable integrations across complex enterprise systems
Work within our multidisciplinary delivery team alongside Architects, Business Analysts, Delivery Managers and technical stakeholders
Develop secure APIs, integration services and reusable integration components
Build interfaces using FHIR, HL7 v2.x and RESTful APIs
Integrate with complex enterprise platforms, including EPR and PAS systems
Support integration testing, deployment, go-live and early-life support
Troubleshoot integration issues across multiple systems
Develop automated unit, integration and API tests
Work within Agile delivery and CI/CD environments
Produce technical, API and interface documentation
Support code reviews and maintain high software engineering standards

Requirements

Strong enterprise software engineering and systems integration background
Commercial experience with FHIR
Commercial experience with HL7 v2.x
Strong RESTful API and web services development experience
Experience integrating multiple complex systems
Cloud-based application development experience
Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
Experience with secure software development practices
Agile and DevOps delivery experience
Strong technical troubleshooting skills
Experience with integration engines, middleware and event-driven architecture would be beneficial
Comfortable attending our Leeds/Wakefield location at least once per week, with some additional regional travel

Benefits & conditions

We are a growing organisation delivering a large-scale integration programme on a full-time contract basis from 1 September 2026 to 16 November 2026. The role is hybrid, based around Leeds/Wakefield, with at least one day per week onsite and occasional regional travel for technical workshops, testing and implementation activities. This is an inside IR35 contract with a rate of £395 per day, and the successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary environment focused on secure, reliable enterprise integration.
