Job description

  • Support a large-scale integration programme by designing and delivering secure, reliable integrations across complex enterprise systems
  • Work within our multidisciplinary delivery team alongside Architects, Business Analysts, Delivery Managers and technical stakeholders
  • Develop secure APIs, integration services and reusable integration components
  • Build interfaces using FHIR, HL7 v2.x and RESTful APIs
  • Integrate with complex enterprise platforms, including EPR and PAS systems
  • Support integration testing, deployment, go-live and early-life support
  • Troubleshoot integration issues across multiple systems
  • Develop automated unit, integration and API tests
  • Work within Agile delivery and CI/CD environments
  • Produce technical, API and interface documentation
  • Support code reviews and maintain high software engineering standards

Requirements

  • Strong enterprise software engineering and systems integration background
  • Commercial experience with FHIR
  • Commercial experience with HL7 v2.x
  • Strong RESTful API and web services development experience
  • Experience integrating multiple complex systems
  • Cloud-based application development experience
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
  • Experience with secure software development practices
  • Agile and DevOps delivery experience
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with integration engines, middleware and event-driven architecture would be beneficial
  • Comfortable attending our Leeds/Wakefield location at least once per week, with some additional regional travel

Benefits & conditions

We are a growing organisation delivering a large-scale integration programme on a full-time contract basis from 1 September 2026 to 16 November 2026. The role is hybrid, based around Leeds/Wakefield, with at least one day per week onsite and occasional regional travel for technical workshops, testing and implementation activities. This is an inside IR35 contract with a rate of £395 per day, and the successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary environment focused on secure, reliable enterprise integration.
