Job description

The Senior Oracle Backend DBA ensures the stability, performance, security, and lifecycle management of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) 12.2.12 and its supporting database tiers. You will manage core database operations-including performance tuning, high availability, disaster recovery, and online patching-while aligning platform resilience with broader UNIFI operations and transformation goals., * Database Administration & Performance: Administer Oracle databases (supporting EBS 12.2.12 RAC/standalone), execute proactive SQL/instance tuning, manage tablespaces, and resolve database-level failures or bottlenecks.

  • EBS Backend & Lifecycle Management: Support EBS 12.2.12 backend schemas, concurrent processing, and technology stacks; execute Oracle CPU/PSU/RU patching and AD/TXK updates.
  • Patching & Cloning: Manage R12.2 online patching (ADOP) from the backend, ensuring editioned objects comply with Edition-Based Redefinition (EBR); perform regular multi-environment cloning and post-clone steps.
  • Backup, Recovery & High Availability: Design and maintain RMAN backup strategies, High Availability (RAC, Data Guard), and Disaster Recovery (DR) testing.
  • Security & Compliance: Enforce database security standards (access controls, TDE encryption, auditing, patch compliance) in coordination with GRC and security teams.
  • Monitoring & Support: Monitor database health via Enterprise Manager (OEM), handle P1/P2 incident resolution, and collaborate with technical teams on RICEW and code deployments.

Requirements

  • 8-10+ years of Oracle DBA experience, with at least 5 years specifically supporting Oracle EBS R12.2.x.
  • Expertise in Oracle Database 12c/19c, SQL tuning, Automatic Storage Management (ASM), Enterprise Manager (OEM), and Real Application Clusters (RAC).
  • Hands-on experience with EBS 12.2.12 architectures, workflows, concurrent managers, and backend integrations.
  • Deep knowledge of EBR, ADOP online patching cycles, and editioned database objects.
  • Proficient with RMAN, Data Guard, HA/DR configurations, and Linux/Unix shell scripting.
  • Experience managing mission-critical, multi-environment ERP lifecycles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with OCI-hosted EBS or hybrid cloud deployments.
  • Exposure to OIC-integrated environments and interface workloads.
  • Familiarity with architecture planning for large-scale ERP transformations.
