Reliability Engineer

Support safe, reliable, and efficient manufacturing operations by improving equipment reliability, optimizing maintenance practices, troubleshooting equipment and process issues, and supporting continuous improvement efforts., * Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to minimize downtime and maintain safe production

• Develop and implement strategies to improve equipment reliability, availability, and maintainability

• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) investigations for equipment failures and recurring operational issues

• Analyze maintenance and operational data to identify trends and corrective actions

• Support and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance (PM/PdM) programs

• Partner with operations, maintenance, and technical teams to improve plant and equipment performance

• Drive continuous improvement in reliability, maintenance effectiveness, energy efficiency, and operational performance

• Support development of maintenance procedures, operating practices, and equipment standards

• Provide technical support during equipment repairs, shutdowns, startups, and maintenance activities

• Support compliance with OSHA, Process Safety Management (PSM), environmental, and other safety requirements

• Maintain equipment records and use CMMS systems to support maintenance planning and reliability initiatives

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical/engineering discipline. Candidates with a 2-year degree and strong relevant experience will be considered.

Minimum Experience Required

• 3+ years of experience in plant engineering, reliability, maintenance, or manufacturing operations; additional relevant experience preferred for candidates with a 2-year degree

• Experience troubleshooting industrial equipment and manufacturing/process systems

• Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices

• Experience with reliability methods such as RCA, FMEA, RCM, vibration analysis, or oil analysis

• Familiarity with CMMS systems

• Knowledge of industrial safety standards and OSHA PSM requirements

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred: Experience in chemical, petrochemical, refinery, or heavy industrial manufacturing; CMRP certification; Lean/Six Sigma experience; or experience with process controls and instrumentation.
