REMOTE- IAM Architect

An employer is looking for a Senior IAM architect to sit remote. You will primarily be focused on aiding the client in building their IAM strategy, roadmap, and overall solutions. You will leverage Entra ID and promtoe any other tools/ platforms that may help the client optimzie their IAM space. You will establish processes and procedures in this space and provide SME knowledge to provide the team with the proper steps to take. You will design, modernize, and deliver IAM initiatives across the enterprise and establish the proper governance. Additionally, you will leverage emerging Agentic AI tools to enhance automation, governance, and access management processed. This position will play a critical role in defining standards, guiding technical teams in IAM transformation, and maturing the overall landscape., * Design and execute a comprehensive IAM strategy aligned with organizational security objectives and business goals.

• Develop and maintain the IAM roadmap, identifying opportunities to improve security, automate processes, and reduce operational risk.

• Serve as the lead architect for enterprise identity solutions, guiding future-state IAM capabilities and technology investments.

• Lead architecture and optimization efforts surrounding Microsoft Entra ID.

• Design and implement identity federation, SSO, Conditional Access, MFA, and modern authentication strategies.

• Develop scalable access management frameworks supporting cloud, hybrid, and SaaS environments.

• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to ensure seamless integration of Entra ID services across the enterprise

• Establish and enhance Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) programs and entitlement governance frameworks.

• Develop policies, standards, and procedures related to identity lifecycle management, provisioning, deprovisioning, access reviews, and certifications.

• Ensure IAM solutions align with security, compliance, and audit requirements.

• Identify and implement Agentic AI solutions that improve IAM operations, governance, access reviews, and user lifecycle management.

• Leverage AI-driven automation to streamline access requests, compliance reporting, remediation workflows, and identity analytics.

• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend practical use cases that enhance IAM effectiveness and user experience

7-10 years experience in IAM architecture and solutions

Extensive knowledge of IAM architecture, identity governance, access control models, and security best practices

Expert knowledge around IAM solutions and RBAC best practices/ tooling

Deep expertise with Microsoft Entra ID, including:

• Single Sign-On (SSO)

• Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

• Conditional Access

• Identity Federation

• Access Governance

• Lifecycle Management

Proven background in optimizing and creating IAM strategy for enterprise environments

Strong experience leveraging Agentic AI tools and solutions Experience in regulated environments- HIPPA, SOX, etc.

Familiarity with Zero Trust architecture initiatives
