Job description

The Senior IT Administrator serves as a technical expert responsible for the provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of Linux and Windows servers, system hardware, software, and related infrastructure within a classified/high-security environment. This role is responsible for maintaining the security, uptime, and performance of enterprise systems and networks.

To demonstrate success, you will:

  • Integrate with a team of multidiscipline, multileveled System Administrators supporting Linux, Windows, and Network operations.
  • Assist Software Engineers by providing Linux/Windows Infrastructure services in support of development efforts.
  • Partner with Information Security team to provide secure, auditable Linux/Windows systems. Essential Functions:

  • Security and Compliance Management.
  • System Administration and Maintenance.
  • Network & Optimization.
  • Administration and Documentation.
  • Incident Response.
  • Backup and Recovery.
  • Linux Server and Workstation systems administration on Red Hat based distributions (RHEL9, RHEL8, RHEL7).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in network or systems administration.
  • System hardening and auditing to RMF, CMMC, DFARS, NIST 800-171, NIST 800-53
  • Technical Expertise: Advanced understanding of Windows/Linux administration, Active Directory, virtualization, and network protocol
  • Active Secret clearance. Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience with Linux Server and Workstation systems administration on Red Hat based distributions (RHEL9, RHEL8, RHEL7).
  • Experience with network switches.
  • Top Secret clearance.
  • Certifications RHCSA, RHCE, RHCSS, RHCDS, Security+, CISSP, CISM preferred.
  • Configuration management with Ansible/Ansible Automation Platform, AWX, puppet, or chef.
  • Basic network administration of layer 2/3 switches.
  • Scripting: Proficient in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
  • Basic network administration of layer 2/3 switches.
  • Supporting multi-OS environments of Linux, Windows and embedded OS’s.

Benefits & conditions

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $91,500 - $170,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
