Job description

This role is for a talented Front End Developer to join a mission-critical team supporting U.S. Special Operations Command programs at MacDill AFB. In this role, you will play a key part in advancing the command’s ability to harness and operationalize data for smarter, faster decision-making. As a subject matter expert in front-end development, the individual assigned to this role will collaborate closely with data engineers, analysts, and other technical professionals to design, develop, and optimize user-facing interfaces that bring complex data to life. Your contributions will directly support efforts to modernize and enhance data-driven operations across the command.

Responsibilities

Front End Developers are responsible for creating next generation web-based and desktop applications designed to enhance user interface with tools and capabilities.

The Front End Developer will perform the following tasks:

  • Design, prototype, develop, and implement applications using Web programming technologies to include but not limited to: JavaScript, HTML, HTMLS, and CSS.
  • Work with Data Analysts, Data Integrators, Data Scientists, and Database Engineers to create, troubleshoot, and recommend appropriate user interface capabilities.
  • Work with customers to enhance user experience and implementation requirements.

Requirements

  • Seven years of experience with modern Web technology stack.
  • Four years of experience with web application development using JavaScript frameworks, HTML, C5S, and similar web programming technologies.
  • Experience with Restful APIs, relational databases, and cross browser compatibility troubleshooting techniques.
  • A Secret clearance is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience and familiarity with the Department of Defense (DoD)
  • Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility
