Job description

As a Mid-Level Radar Engineer/Analyst your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:

  • Common tasks for this position include analysis tool design and development, and complex analysis on radar system and/or algorithm performance.
  • Provide expertise on various aspects of critical radar functions including acquisition, scheduling, tracking, discrimination, advanced functions, and system-level interactions.
  • Investigate issues, perform root cause analysis, and develop creative solutions to complex technical problems.
  • Support a broad range of projects including performance analysis, modeling & simulation (M&S), post-flight reconstruction, and integration and risk reduction efforts.
  • Interact with external customers and stakeholders within the Missile Defense Agency (MDA), program offices, and radar development prime contractors.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Physics, Math, or Computer Science from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with sensor and/or system-level data analysis.
  • Proficient in data manipulation and analysis, data visualization, signal and data processing, electromagnetics, and/or system engineering using MATLAB, Python, and/or similar tools.
  • Ability to develop and/or contribute to reports and briefings that explain complex radar behaviors effectively to a broad range of audiences.
  • Experience developing and/or improving complex analysis tools using MATLAB.
  • Experience in radar analysis, radar systems engineering, and/or radar test and evaluation.
  • Ability to multi-task and work effectively across multiple efforts.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Must have an active secret clearance.

Candidates with the following experience are preferred:

  • Experience with AN/TPY-2 TM.
  • Experience with radar signal detection/injection HWIL systems.
  • Experience in C, C++, and Ada programming, Linux/Unix operating systems, Microsoft Office.

Schedule:M-F; 8-5
