Contract Power BI Developer Data Analytics & Business Intelligence

We are looking for a Senior Power BI Developer to join our Business Intelligence and Data Analytics team. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who can combine Power BI development, data modeling, SQL, Microsoft Fabric, and business analytics to build enterprise-level reporting solutions.

You will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to transform operational and financial data into dashboards, analytical models, KPIs, and actionable insights that support better business decisions.

What You’ll Do

• Design and develop high-quality Power BI dashboards, reports, and analytical solutions.
• Build scalable dimensional and semantic data models using modern BI architecture.
• Develop complex DAX measures, calculations, relationships, hierarchies, and Row-Level Security.
• Write and optimize SQL/SQL Server queries for data preparation, transformation, validation, and reporting.
• Work with SSIS and ETL processes to integrate data from multiple sources.
• Leverage Microsoft Fabric to support scalable data and analytics solutions.
• Design and implement star and snowflake schemas, surrogate keys, and slowly changing dimensions.
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications and reporting solutions.
• Develop and standardize KPIs and performance metrics for operational and management reporting.
• Analyze financial and operational information and translate findings into actionable insights.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, performance, documentation, and lineage across reporting solutions.
• Present analytical findings and business insights to senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Work with tools such as Alteryx to streamline and automate data workflows.

Are you a Power BI professional who enjoys turning complex data into meaningful business insights?, * 3+ years of hands-on Power BI development experience.

• Strong experience with Power BI and DAX.
• Strong SQL/SQL Server development skills.
• Experience with SSIS / ETL.
• Strong understanding of data modeling and dimensional modeling.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric is highly desirable.
• Experience with Power BI semantic/tabular models.
• Knowledge of star schema, snowflake schema, conformed dimensions, and slowly changing dimensions.
• Experience with Row-Level Security and Power BI security models.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to understand and work with financial and operational data.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate with senior/C-level stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Experience in finance, accounting, professional services, or consulting.
• Experience with Alteryx.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Data Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Experience developing enterprise-wide KPI and management reporting solutions.
