Job description

Responsible for the high-level planning, strategy, optimization, and design of cloud infrastructure and related cloud services. Defines the architecture of the cloud solution and environments. Analyzes current and emerging technologies based on assessments of the organization’s cloud technology needs. Translates business requirements into cloud process designs and serves as the lead cloud subject matter expert in support of business expansion.

  • Define infrastructure architecture standards and design patterns.
  • Lead technical design for cloud migrations and infrastructure modernization.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and make recommendations.
  • Create architecture diagrams, design documents, and technical specifications.
  • Ensure security compliance and alignment with client enterprise architecture.
  • Provide technical oversight for automation framework design.
  • Conduct architecture reviews and provide technical guidance to engineers.
  • Support RFP/RFI processes for infrastructure tools and platforms., Compensation ranges for ASM Research positions vary depending on multiple factors; including but not limited to, location, skill set, level of education, certifications, client requirements, contract-specific affordability, government clearance and investigation level, and years of experience. The compensation displayed for this role is a general guideline based on these factors and is unique to each role. Monetary compensation is one component of ASM’s overall compensation and benefits package for employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or related field; Master’s Degree preferred.
  • AWS Solutions Architect Professional and/or Azure Solutions Architect Expert certified
  • 10+ years infrastructure architecture experience.

Other Job Specific Skills

  • Expert in: Hybrid cloud architecture (AWS/Azure + on-prem), network architecture, security architecture.
  • Strong knowledge: Infrastructure as Code, container orchestration, microservices.
  • TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification preferred., The physical requirements described in “Knowledge, Skills and Abilities” above are representative of those which must be met by an employee to successfully perform the primary functions of this job.
