Job description
This role supports the Council’s information governance functions, including Freedom of Information (FOI) and Subject Access Requests (SARs), Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), data incident management, and maintenance of the Information Asset Register. The postholder will also provide information governance support for digital systems, including Microsoft 365, and help promote good data protection and information management practices across the organisation.
Requirements
We are looking for someone with a degree, equivalent qualification, or relevant experience, along with knowledge of UK GDPR and information rights legislation. You will have strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to understand and explain current and emerging data protection and FOI requirements. *Hybrid employees are considered workplace based first, but they will have a level of flexibility to work from home up to 40% of their working week, if it is not to the detriment of their current tasks, team requirements or service needs.
