Head of IT

• Lead a small team of IT specialists
• Oversee the day-to-day internal systems and IT department operations
• Collaborate with Senior Management and Directors to ensure smooth operations
• Develop and deliver strategic road maps for technology development
• Lead IT projects, including development, infrastructure upgrades, and integrations
• Manage IT support, infrastructure, and service delivery across the organisation
• Ensure systems and services are highly available and performing effectively
• Ensure SLAs and KPIs are met and drive continuous improvement in service quality
• Act as an escalation point for service issues
• Provide technical guidance across infrastructure, cloud services, and security
• Ensure robust cyber security and compliance practices are in place
• Identify opportunities for innovation, automation, efficiency, and AI initiatives
• Manage budgets, vendors, and third-party relationships

• 5+ years of experience leading an IT department and managing a team
• Proven experience managing IT operations in a fast-paced organisation
• Experience running a busy IT service function with multiple priorities
• Experience delivering IT strategies and road maps
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including communication up to Board level
• Experience working in logistics, manufacturing, or a similar fast-paced environment
• Experience using service-driven management approaches such as ITIL
• Strong understanding of support infrastructure and business systems deployment and change
• Technical understanding to guide, challenge, and arbitrate on technical and architectural decisions
• Experience managing Microsoft 365 and cloud services
• Good understanding of cyber security best practice and IT governance

This is a permanent, full-time role based at our AMCO Park head office in Redditch, with a salary of £60,000 to £65,000 per annum depending on experience, plus a pension scheme, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, optional extra holiday purchase, healthcare cash plans, GP access, life insurance, and a flat management structure with a strong social culture.
