Job description

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python and Django
Build and enhance RESTful APIs and backend services
Develop clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following engineering best practices
Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability
Collaborate closely with Product, Frontend, DevOps, and QA teams to deliver new features
Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical design decisions
Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term solutions
Perform code reviews and mentor junior engineers as needed
Continuously improve development processes and engineering standards

Requirements

5+ years of professional backend software development experience
Strong proficiency with Python and the Django framework
Experience designing and consuming REST APIs
Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar)
Experience building scalable, high-performance backend systems
Strong knowledge of software architecture, object-oriented programming, and design patterns
Experience working in cloud environments (AWS preferred)
Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment
Strong communication and collaboration skills
