Job description

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team, taking a senior role in building and supporting production-ready data pipelines. You’ll work with Microsoft Fabric, Python, and PySpark to design, deliver, and maintain robust data infrastructure, while mentoring fellow engineers, driving engineering best practice, and collaborating closely with stakeholders across the business. What you’ll be doing:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable, production-ready data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric, Python, and PySpark
  • Take ownership of the reliability, performance, and maintainability of data solutions across their full lifecycle
  • Manage and support CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workflows, championing strong engineering practices across the team
  • Collaborate closely with team members, sharing knowledge, providing technical guidance, and contributing to a strong engineering culture
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in live data pipelines, acting as a point of escalation for complex technical problems
  • Partner with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric
  • Strong proficiency in Python
  • Experience with PySpark
  • Proven experience working effectively as part of a team
  • Experience delivering production-ready data pipelines, including CI/CD management and support

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Azure OneLake
  • Familiarity with the broader Azure ecosystem, particularly Azure DevOps
  • Experience with Azure ML, especially in the context of model industrialisation, Depending on the role, we might also ask you to do a short presentation, a practical or technical task or have a values focused conversation. We will explain what is involved before anything happens.
