Job description

them with custom code when FlutterFlow hits its limits. - Set up the engineering foundations: CI/CD on GitHub Actions, monitoring, error budgets, on-call rotation. - Hire and mentor the next engineers. You will be the technical bar for the team. - Talk to pilot customers when a bug or an edge case needs a real answer. Reports to CTO, Mat Bertrandy Day 90 goal: Slack and WhatsApp integrations in production, Supabase schema clean and well-indexed, GKE workloads observable and cost-controlled, new engineers onboarding from your docs. Stack & tools Mobile & DesktopFlutterFlow Backend & AuthSupabase Production InfraGoogle Cloud (GKE) Web & APINext.js, Node.js DeploymentVercel CI/CDGitHub Actions Compensation & perks - Base salary: competitive, based on experience and location. - Equity: meaningful founding-team stake with standard vesting. - Remote-first, global. We hire for talent density, not geography. - Equipment budget. Paid time off that you actually take. - High autonomy.

Requirements

You own outcomes, not tickets. - Direct access to the founding team from day one. Requirements What we expect - 5 years building and shipping production software, ideally at a startup where you wore multiple hats. - Strong with Node.js and TypeScript. Comfortable in Next.js on Vercel. - Real Supabase or Postgres experience. You know what an index is and when it costs more than it helps. - Kubernetes in production, not just in a demo. You have debugged a pod that would not start at 2am. Ideally on GKE or another managed offering. - Comfortable across a split infra: Supabase for data, GCP for production workloads, Vercel for dev and web. - You have integrated with at least one messaging platform (OAuth, webhooks, event handling). - You write clean APIs and boring code on purpose. - You can argue a design decision without making it personal. Nice to have - FlutterFlow experience or willingness to learn it quickly. - LLM integration work: streaming responses, prompt versioning, cost optimization. - Security background or instincts. We handle people’s email and chat history. - You have been a founding engineer before and know what the first 12 months look like. How we work The environment Remote, global We hire for talent density, not geography. Work from wherever you do your best thinking. High autonomy You own outcomes, not tickets. No sprint ceremonies that slow you down. Fast iteration We ship weekly, not quarterly. Speed with direction beats perfection with delay. Direct communication We say what we mean and correct course early. No politics, no layers. You set the technical bar As a founding engineer you will hire and mentor the engineers who come after you. More roles coming soon. Positions in product, design, and growth are on the way. Get notified * Ready to build something that matters? Send us something real.
