What You Will Do

• Design, scale, and maintain backend architecture using Node.js, Firebase Cloud Functions, and serverless technologies to support growing user traffic.
• Integrate advanced LLM and ChatGPT capabilities into the core product to automate date planning and enhance personality-based matching algorithms.
• Mentor the current engineering team on backend best practices while making pivotal calls on infrastructure and tooling for the company.

• Over 10 years of experience building and shipping production-scale backend systems with a focus on high-reliability and performance.
• Proven track record of owning architecture decisions and scaling consumer-facing services within a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
• Deep proficiency in Node.js, Python, or Go, coupled with a strong understanding of serverless infrastructure and complex API design.

HaveYouMet, Inc. is a self-owned NYC startup founded in 2023 that is building an AI-driven dating app designed to get people off their phones and into real-world dates by automating matching and booking., As a Senior Backend Engineer at HaveYouMet, Inc., you will anchor our technical architecture for a consumer product with AI at its core. You’ll design and scale serverless services, integrate LLMs, and make critical infrastructure decisions. Your work will directly enable users to move from digital swiping to meaningful, real-world connections., Ok, I’ll go first.
