Job description

As a System Reliability Engineer you will enable development of robotic solutions optimized for availability, life cycle cost and performance.

  • Provide Design for Reliability, Maintainability and Supportability guidance to new product and solutions introduction teams

  • Develop reliability models for complex electro-mechanical systems

  • Develop RAM Models for Amazon products and systems

  • Develop Failure Modes Effects Analysis

  • Develop reliability test plans and data collection strategies

  • Assess vendor reliability data

  • Advocate for the customer during the design process on failure modes, fault diagnostics and impacts to product supportability

  • Design tool kits, identify custom tools and other support mechanisms for Robotic Systems

  • Develop lifecycle support strategies and mechanisms for new products

  • Ensure supportability requirements and concerns are addressed for field launch

  • Work to identify opportunities for improved maintenance strategies

  • Develop tools, and assist with processes to expand diagnostic capabilities improve ergonomics, and reduce troubleshooting time

Requirements

Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field

  • Experience in hardware design and validation of components, subsystems and systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • ASQ Certified Reliability Engineer or equivalent

  • Advanced degree in Reliability Engineering, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering or another applicable discipline.

  • Experience in automotive, defense, or industrial product development

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
