Job description

Insight Global is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Appian Developer to join a dynamic technology team supporting the design, development, and implementation of secure enterprise applications and business process automation solutions., Interface Design: Develop intuitive SAIL forms and dashboards that consolidate data from multiple sources into a streamlined user experience.

  • Data Modeling: Design, develop, and maintain Custom Data Types (CDTs) and Record Types that support enterprise applications and integrations.

  • Workflow Automation: Create end-to-end process models that automate business workflows, approvals, notifications, and case management activities.

  • Integration Architecture: Configure Connected Systems and Integration Objects to integrate Appian with enterprise applications using REST and SOAP APIs.

  • API Development: Build Appian integrations and Web APIs to securely exchange information across internal and external systems.

  • Security & Authentication: Implement secure system-to-system authentication using OAuth 2.0, SAML, certificate-based authentication, and other industry-standard security methods.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have strong Appian development experience and a solid understanding of application architecture, security, systems integration, and the full software development lifecycle. Experience integrating with enterprise platforms such as PeopleSoft ERP, Oracle, or similar enterprise systems is highly desirable., 5+ years of hands-on Appian development experience, preferably with Appian version 24.x or newer.

  • Advanced SQL expertise, including complex query development, joins, stored procedures, functions, indexing, data modeling, and performance tuning.

  • Strong knowledge of REST/SOAP web services, JSON, and XML.

  • Ability to secure a Secret Security Clearance

  • Security+ CE certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

  • Appian Certified Senior Developer (ACD-201) and/or Lead Developer certification strongly preferred. - Experience utilizing Appian Data Fabric to unify and manage data from disparate sources.

  • Background in Java or JavaScript for the development of custom plugins and extensions when standard connectors do not meet business requirements.

  • Experience integrating with large-scale ERP platforms, including familiarity with tools such as PeopleSoft Integration Broker, Component Interfaces, or similar technologies.

  • Experience working within a Center of Excellence (CoE), Agile, or DevOps environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering secure, high-quality solutions.
