Job description

Candidates need to be comfortable working in a highly matrixed environment and self-driving on deliverables. There is tremendous opportunity for self-starters to influence the templates and deliverables that will drive value for Ascension Technologies business customers. ESAs are exposed to the most important and complex initiatives at Ascension. As such, the ability to conduct executive level conversations and presentations is required.

  • Executive presence
  • Strong understanding of technology platforms and modern technologies/approaches to drive technology that is innovative, competitive, secure and resilient.
  • Exceptional communicator and presenter with excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to lead and influence cross functional teams to deliver and meet organizational needs in compressed timeframes.
  • Ability to quickly evaluate options, unlock enterprise challenges, make technology recommendations, and recommend solutions within a diverse technology environment with multiple stakeholders inside customers’ environments.
  • Familiarity with working in an agile-based environment
  • Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and gray spaces.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, prioritization and relationship management skills
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, conflict management and decision making skills
  • Ability to manage multiple work commitments, producing high quality work products under pressure and within deadlines

Minimum Education

  • High School Diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate’s Degree, or Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 or more years of architecture experience; experience working in a large global IT environment strongly preferred.

Minimum Work Experience:

  • Must have experience at a large technology products and services organization.
  • Five or more years experience in an information technology discipline with increasing responsibility.
  • Healthcare IT experience is highly preferred, ideally encompassing a broad range of business areas, care delivery settings, including related processes, integration and solution exposure.
  • Product Model and Agile experience preferred (at scale)
  • Familiarity with The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) and architecture modeling tools (e.g. Abacus, IBIS, Orbus iServer, MEGA, LeanIX, etc.
