We’re looking for an experienced Data Privacy Manager to join our IT team. You’ll be accountable for supporting the Data Protection Officer (DPO) and work as part of the UK&I Data Protection Team in all data protection compliance requirements, relating to the region.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Drive Performance: The Data Privacy Manager supports the DPO and regional Data Protection Team in delivering effective data protection compliance across the UK and Ireland. In this role you will provide expert guidance on privacy risk, governance, controls, training and incident management to help protect colleague, customer and business data.
  • Innovate: Working closely with operational, functional, IT, Information Security, People Services and customer-facing teams, you’ll help to embed privacy by design into business processes, systems, products and services, while supporting both strategic projects and business-as-usual activity.
  • Lead with Purpose: Act as a trusted adviser, applying a practical, risk-based and commercially aware approach to compliance with applicable UK and Irish data protection law, regulatory requirements and internal corporate standards.
  • Ensure Compliance: Using your expert knowledge of UKI/EU data protection regulation and associated frameworks and best practice to ensure on-going compliance to the wider business.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Expert knowledge of UKI/EU data protection regulation and associated frameworks and best practice
  • Experience, ideally practical implementation experience, in a Data Protection or similar compliance-based role
  • Understanding of technical IT frameworks such as ITIL, ISO/IEC 27000 family
  • Understanding and awareness of current data management and communications technologies
  • Proven experience in supporting and driving change improvements
  • Proven experience of risk management and mitigation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
