• We actively participate in team events, lead where specialist knowledge is required, and support the team to improve our processes through inspection and adaptation.
• We engage with wider communities of practice and interest to share knowledge, techniques, and experience.
• We ensure high-quality developed solutions through unit testing, appropriate code coverage, and code analysis using quality tools.
• We ensure our software complies with non-functional requirements such as accessibility, security, UI/UX, performance, maintainability, and deployability.
• We troubleshoot development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms, from our AWS-based modern stack to the ETL and database strands that underpin the service.
• We routinely use collaborative development practices such as pairing and mobbing in programming, code reviews, system design, and requirements analysis and refinement.
• We coach and mentor other team members as appropriate.
• We support and deliver disaster recovery assurance of digital services, working toward a sustainable Recovery Time Objective of 2 hours and a Recovery Point Objective of zero.
