Job description

We are looking for an IT Project Management Specialist & IT Office Support (f/m/d) to join our Freight Global Head Office in Bonn Your key tasks:

  • Maintenance and enforcement of common standards, processes and tools for delivering global portfolio of IT projects
  • Drive project governance and quality assurance by ensuring compliance with established standards, processes and investment guidelines.
  • Coordinate, own and further develop the IT Investment Approval Process, including business case review and validation, approval governance, documentation, training and support for project managers.
  • Monitor and support the end-to-end project delivery lifecycle (project approval, planning, risk management, reporting, supplier procurement, budget control, invoice payment and project closure)
  • Support the maintenance and optimization of the Freight IT project portfolio.
  • Ensure transparency and visibility of portfolio performance through comprehensive reporting, status tracking and executive dashboards.
  • Training and mentoring project managers in matrix organizational setup and stakeholder management ranging from project requestors, team members, project managers to C-level executive sponsors
  • Support the IT Back Office in order, invoice and contract management, cross-functional coordination and organizational activities.
  • Support internal communication and documentation activities, like the creation of intranet posts, announcements, change communication materials, maintenance of knowledge bases and communication channels.
  • Coordinate and follow up on actions and deliverables across multiple teams to ensure alignment and timely execution.

Requirements

  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Project Management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum) are a strong plus.
  • Experience

  • 2-4 years of experience in IT Project Management or PMO (Project Management Office) roles.
  • Hands-on experience with end-to-end project delivery, including planning, risk management, budgeting, and closure.
  • Technical & Process Knowledge

  • Familiarity with IT project lifecycle, governance frameworks, and approval processes.
  • Understanding of IT investment approval processes and business case preparation.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes, invoice management, and vendor coordination.
  • Tools & Systems:

  • Proficiency in project management tools (preferred Jira).
  • Strong skills in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for reporting and documentation.
