Information Technology Analyst I/II job in Roseville

Take on a vital role supporting the City’s essential systems. You’ll prepare and maintain procedures, documentation, and security methodologies monitor system resources troubleshoot issues and provide Tier I and Tier II support for critical 24/7 communications, storage, and computing environments. You’ll manage cross-department projects, deliver clear technical reports, train users, and foster strong working relationships across the organization. This position has the opportunity for hybrid work and may require after hours or on-call support., Within the Client Services functional area, you’ll provide expert hardware and software support, participate in helpdesk operations and recommend improvements to customer support activities. You’ll maintain incident management tools, coordinate work across IT functions, and oversee PC and peripheral inventory. You’ll also forecast technology needs and support vendor sourcing and review efforts. SELECTION PROCESS :

All candidates meeting the minimum qualifications will have their application scored in a Formula Rate Examination. The applicant’s experience and education will be evaluated using a pre-determined formula. Scores from this evaluation will determine applicant ranking and placement on the Employment List. Supplemental questions will be utilized by the department hiring authority to make interview and selection determinations.

Final appointment is contingent upon a check of past employment references, passing a City-paid fingerprint check, and depending on the position applied for, a pre-employment medical exam, drug and alcohol screening test, credit check, license and/or education verification, psychological examination, and/or an extensive Police Department background check process.
