AI EngineerLocation: Madrid, SpainEmployment Type: Full-TimeShape the Future of AIWe’re partnering with an innovative technology business that is building a world-class AI engineering capability in Madrid.This is a unique opportunity to join a highly talented team at an early stage, working on cutting-edge AI solutions that solve complex commercial problems for global clients.If you’re passionate about machine learning, generative AI and building production-grade AI systems, this role offers the chance to work on challenging projects with genuine impact from day one.What You’ll Be DoingDesign, develop and deploy AI and machine learning solutions that solve real-world business challenges.Build production-ready applications leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs).Develop agentic AI workflows, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines and evaluation frameworks.Work closely with technical and business stakeholders to translate commercial problems into AI solutions.Design scalable AI systems and contribute to architectural decisions.Take ownership of projects from concept through to production deployment.Stay at the forefront of AI research and emerging technologies, bringing innovative ideas into production.What We’re Looking ForWe’re interested in speaking with engineers who have experience in several of the following:Strong understanding of machine learning theory and practical implementation.Commercial experience building and deploying AI/ML systems.Hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, agentic AI, RAG and evaluation frameworks.Excellent Python development skills.Experience with SQL databases.Experience with Azure or AWS cloud platforms.Knowledge of scalable system design and software engineering best practices.Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.A proactive mindset with a genuine passion for solving complex technical problems.Experience within Financial Services would be advantageous but is by no means essential.What’s on OfferWork alongside exceptional engineers on genuinely challenging AI problems.Influence technical direction from an early stage.High levels of ownership and autonomy.Exposure to cutting-edge AI technologies and production systems.Collaborative, high-performing engineering culture.Outstanding opportunities for learning, development and career progression.If you’re looking to work on meaningful AI challenges in an environment where technical excellence is genuinely valued, we’d love to hear from you.
