Moller Group, Unilabs is one of Europe’s leading medical diagnostics companies, offering a complete range of laboratory, pathology, genetics, and imaging services to patients across 14 countries.Unilabs invests heavily in technology, equipment, and people - using digital technologies in its state-of-the-art laboratories and imaging institutes - to improve the lives of close to 100 million people every year.About The Job The Principal Network Service Engineer is the senior technical authority responsible for the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of enterprise network services.This role owns the operational integrity of network platforms across their full lifecycle, ensuring services are secure, highly available, and aligned with business SLAs.Acting as the escalation point and technical leader, the Principal Network Service Engineer bridges design, delivery, and operations, translating complex incidents and operational learnings into measurable service improvements.Key ResponsibilitiesNetwork Service OwnershipAct as service owner for core network platforms (LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, cloud connectivity)Ensure services meet defined SLAs, OLAs, availability, and performance targetsOwn and evolve support models, runbooks, and operational standardsDrive consistency and quality across global or multi-site network environmentsOperational Excellence & StabilityServe as the highest technical escalation point for complex network incidentsLead major incident response, technical triage, and resolutionConduct and own root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring or critical issuesIdentify systemic weaknesses and drive preventative improvementsContinuous Improvement & AutomationTranslate incident trends and service data into proactive improvement initiativesChampion monitoring, observability, and alerting enhancementsDrive adoption of automation and self?healing mechanisms where applicableReduce incident volume and mean time to restore (MTTR) over timeTechnical Leadership & GovernanceProvide operational input into architectural designs and new solutionsValidate that new network services are operationally supportable before go?liveDefine and enforce operational standards, tooling, and documentationMentor senior engineers and act as a technical role model within the service organizationVendor & Service Partner ManagementTechnically manage managed service providers and network vendorsChallenge vendors on incident handling, RCA quality, and service improvementsEnsure vendor solutions align with internal operational requirementsService Transition & LifecycleEnsure complete documentation, monitoring, and support readinessManage service lifecycle activities including upgrades, decommissioning, and technology refreshesRequirementsDeep experience operating enterprise?scale network services, including:LAN / WLAN (campus & datacenter)WAN / MPLS / InternetSD?WAN platformsCloud connectivity (Azure ExpressRoute)Strong hands?on expertise in network troubleshooting and diagnosticsSolid understanding of network security operations, including:Firewalls, segmentation, VPNs, Zero Trust conceptsExperience supporting environments built on:Cisco / Fortinet / ArubaFamiliarity with:Network monitoring and observability toolsChange, incident, and problem management processesRequired Skills & CompetenciesExpert?level problem solving and incident leadershipAbility to operate calmly and decisively during major incidentsStrong analytical mindset with focus on root causes, not symptomsExcellent communication skills - from technical deep?dives to executive summariesStrong documentation discipline (runbooks, SOPs, RCAs)Ability to influence without authority across teams and vendorsExperience & Qualifications10+ years in network engineering / operations roles3+ years in a senior, lead, or principal service roleRelevant certifications (desirable):CCNP / CCIEITIL (Foundation or higher)Azure Network Engineer Associate or equivalentBenefitsHybrid working model (office & remote flexibility)Opportunity to work on Swiss?market healthcare and laboratory platforms with real clinical impactInternational, collaborative, and regulated product environmentCompetitive compensation and benefitsLong?term ownership of a strategic healthcare product#J-*****-Ljbffr
