C++ Software Engineer (Industry)

As a Software Engineer, you develop and improve OMP’s industry solution and enrich its functionality in a robust, innovative, and scalable way, applying your expertise to solve real-life industry challenges for our customers.

You are responsible for:

• Translating functional requirements into detailed, industry-specific technical solution designs and algorithms, and refining them into clear technical specifications.
• Writing code that lives up to our high-quality standards, in adherence to scrum methodology and compliant with the most recent standards in your preferred technology.
• Discussing and validating functional requirements in close collaboration with our seasoned solution managers, solution analysts, and solution consultants.
• Reviewing code written by your team members.
• Collaborating closely with software and quality assurance test engineers, analysts, consultants, technical writers, and project managers.
• Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams-including software and QA engineers, analysts, consultants, technical writers, and project managers-while maintaining and supporting developments based on user feedback.

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in ICT, Engineering, Mathematics, or similar, or equivalent by experience.
• 2+ years of proven experience in C++ programming.
• A proven track record of delivering high-quality, maintainable software through clean code, testing, and code reviews.
• Powerful technical skills, a creative mindset and excellent algorithmic and conceptual thinking.
• The eagerness to learn and stay on the edge of technology.
• A passion for working in a multinational, customer-driven environment with a customer-centric attitude.

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience in using software development best practices (e.g., design patterns, UML, Git, automated testing).
• Supply chain planning knowledge.
• Experience in developing multi-tier, asynchronous and distributed systems.
• Experience with Azure DevOps.
• Experience in SQL, C#, Python, or PowerShell.
