Job description

Introduction Company cultures & job summary Our client is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join a specialist security team working on critical national infrastructure projects. You’ll need solid infrastructure architecture and Linux experience, along with hands-on knowledge of IaC and automation tools. Apply Now! Working Patterns and location - Fully on site Key responsibilities * Own and deliver specific components and tasks within infrastructure projects. * Lead the design of high-level architectures for on-prem, cloud and hybrid platforms. * Get hands-on with system design, configuration, implementation and testing. * Ensure all solutions meet security requirements and compliance standards. * Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers and subject matter experts. * Provide third-line support to deployed cloud-based solutions. * Mentor and coach team members, contributing to knowledge sharing across the team. Skills & experience * Strong

Requirements

experience in infrastructure architecture design for complex IT environments. * In-depth technical knowledge of the Linux operating system. * Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet or Terraform. * Solid understanding of network architecture including routing, switching, firewalls and VLANs. * Experience with data centre infrastructure and systems integration. * Strong troubleshooting and logical problem-solving skills across infrastructure environments. * Ability to document solutions clearly and work independently on technical challenges. TThe client would also like to see some of the below, but this is not essential: * Knowledge of big data architectures and experience designing big data solutions. * Familiarity with cloud and hybrid data processing architectures. * Scripting skills, particularly in Python. * Experience working in or leading teams using a DevOps way of working. * Experience owning project delivery against time, cost and quality metrics.
