Job description
Thales is seeking a Test Engineer to join the Ground Support and Repair Equipment (GSRE) team within the Aviation Global Services (AGS) Americas Engineering department. The role involves designing and developing test program software and hardware for automated and semi-automated test systems, while managing multiple projects and collaborating with various departments., * Design and develop test software using LABVIEW and TestStand
- Define and release project documents for GSRE tools
- Implement and release TPS code updates
- Review and resolve JIRA ticket issues
- Procure necessary equipment and tools
- Troubleshoot and validate test hardware and software
- Provide test instrument calibration support
- Represent Thales in customer interactions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- 5+ years experience in board level testing and troubleshooting
- Experience with Ethernet, USB, RS232, and networking protocols
- Proficient in Windows 7/10 and LabVIEW/TestStand
- Strong understanding of test software requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Strong communication skills
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with Visual C, Linux, Perl
- Familiarity with SAP system
- Knowledge of ERP systems
- Experience with JIRA and Bitbucket
- Previous customer interaction experience
