Job description

Preform requirements analysis to develop detailed technical specifications and anticipate integration considerations.

  • Design and implement complex software components and perform advanced programming tasks across multiple technologies.
  • Resolve complex defects, evaluate broader system impacts, and develop robust enhancements.
  • Drive improvements in coding standards, development workflows, testing strategies, and operational practices.
  • Provide knowledge transfer, coaching, and informal mentoring to lower-level developers. Job-Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Migrating notices/forms/templates from xPression to Exstream.
  • Assisting in the redesign or creation of notice headers, bodies, document styles, and formats.
  • Producing requested documentation.
  • Providing support for troubleshooting production problems and ensuring product support for taxpayer notices converted to Exstream.
  • Assisting in the creation of 508 compliant templates for notifications.
  • Collaborating with clients/customers to develop technical strategies and frameworks.
  • Conducting annual basic Exstream training classes.
  • Providing weekly status updates.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study and 5+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Computer Professional Job Profile. Job-Specific Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university required; an additional four years of related work experience can substitute for a degree.
  • At least five (5) years of relevant experience required.
  • Location of work is remote in US.
  • Familiarity with all aspects of Opentext xPression and Exstream Dialogues, including installation, configuration, code development, customization, and implementation.
  • Experience in creating various types of templates, such as letters, statements, bills, year-end statements, tax forms, and email notifications.
  • Familiarity with requirements analysis, design specifications, development, and testing of Dialogue.
  • Proficiency in coding and/or application components and translating functional specifications into technical specifications.
  • In-depth knowledge of page components, such as text boxes, tables, logos, pictures, and headers.
  • Efficient troubleshooting and support for functional and product-related issues, including writing test plans and preparing test cases.
  • Experience with 508 compliance.
  • Familiarity with the software development life cycle (SDLC) and project management.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated high commitment to quality.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and writing skills.
  • Experience in planning and accomplishing goals and complicated tasks and providing consultation on complex projects as a top-level contributor or specialist.
  • Strong collaboration skills and desire to work in a highly collaborative environment. Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience on IRS software development projects.
  • A current IRS Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) clearance (active IRS Moderate Risk MBI clearance is preferred. Additional Requirements per Business or Contract Needs:

  • Candidates must meet requirements to obtain and maintain an IRS Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) clearance (active IRS Moderate Risk MBI clearance is a plus).
