This role requires a well-seasoned program management and people leader with a strong enterprise mindset, executive presence, and the ability to lead through influence in a fast-paced, highly matrixed, and regulated environment. Success in this position demands the ability to oversee multiple complex programs, engage executives to shape priorities, resolve tradeoffs, and remove barriers, and develop high-performing teams of program management professionals that deliver predictable outcomes in the face of ambiguity and evolving enterprise needs.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

Portfolio & Program Leadership

  • Own end-to-end accountability for portfolio and program delivery health, including delivery performance, financials, risk posture, and sustained business adoption.
  • Oversee multiple complex enterprise programs, ensuring consistency of planning, execution, governance, and outcome realization.
  • Translate enterprise strategy and business objectives into integrated, multi-year portfolio delivery strategies, sequencing investments and managing cross program dependencies.
  • Establish and maintain a portfolio operating cadence, including governance forums, planning cycles, escalation mechanisms, and executive reporting.

Executive & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and sustain strong executive stakeholder relationships, shaping scope, delivery approach, prioritization, and tradeoffs to optimize enterprise value.
  • Partner with enterprise portfolio leaders to balance delivery rigor, financials, capacity constraints, and evolving business priorities across the enterprise.
  • Develop and deliver executive level communications, including portfolio health views, risk narratives, dependency analyses, investment tradeoffs, and outcome reporting.

Delivery Governance & Risk Management

  • Ensure disciplined application of PMI aligned complex program and portfolio management practices across the portfolio.
  • Proactively manage portfolio-level risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and financials, identifying systemic trends and driving timely resolution and alignment at the appropriate leadership level.
  • Partner with governance, risk, and control stakeholders to ensure compliance, transparency, and effective escalation.

People & Capability Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop program leaders, building and sustaining a high performing transformation delivery team by strengthening program management capability, standards, and ways of working.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and talent development across Transformation Delivery.
  • Mitigates risk by following established procedures, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong ethical behavior.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of related experience, and 8+ years of experience leading complex, cross-functional enterprise programs and portfolios spanning business and technology initiatives.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively at the executive level, with strong judgment, influence, and communication skills.
  • Advanced capability in developing executive-level materials and narratives, including dashboards, decision papers, and strategic narratives.
  • Strong financial and analytical acumen, including experience overseeing budgets, investment tradeoffs, and outcome realization.
  • Experience with portfolio and program management tooling (e.g., Planview, Jira) and enterprise governance models.
  • Advanced program or portfolio management certification (e.g., PgMP, PMP) strongly preferred.
  • SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) certification or experience is a plus, including hands-on experience facilitating Agile execution, dependency management, and program-level delivery governance.
  • Experience with digital assets and/or blockchain technology and products a plus

Talents Needed for Success:

  • Demonstrated mastery of PMI best practices for Complex Program and Portfolio Management, including governance design, benefits realization, cross program dependency management, and systemic risk oversight.
  • Strong enterprise mindset with the ability to align strategy, execution, and outcomes across diverse initiatives and stakeholders.
  • Executive presence and credibility, with the ability to influence, challenge constructively, and drive alignment at senior levels.
  • Proven ability to lead program management professionals, developing high performing talent while maintaining accountability for results.
  • Systems thinking orientation, identifying patterns and trends across programs to proactively address systematic treats and delivery constraints.
