Software Engineer II - Embedded Next-Gen Avionics

As a Software Engineer II within Honeywell Next Generation Avionics (NGA), you will be part of a team of engineers, developers and designers creating and implementing cutting-edge avionics solutions on the Anthem Integrated Flight Deck platform.In this role, you will have the opportunity to impact the advancement of cutting-edge avionics technologies that improve the efficiency, reliability, and safety of aircraft systems, helping to shape the future of aerospace innovation.

As a flagship product, the Honeywell Anthem Flight Deck System is not just another avionics product; it is a visionary endeavor that employs cutting-edge technologies to redefine how pilots interact with flight information and aircraft systems.

• Develop, implement, test, and maintain avionics software applications and components
• Contribute to software architecture, design, coding, and integration activities
• Participate in software verification, validation, and testing throughout the development lifecycle
• Perform software impact analysis, debugging, and root cause investigations
• Support certification activities, software compliance documentation, and quality processes
• Collaborate with systems, hardware, and test engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline
• ~2 years of software engineering or related development experience
• Working knowledge of software development, integration, debugging, and testing methodologies

WE VALUE

• Experience with programming languages such as C/C++, Python, or embedded software development
• Experience with software development tools, version control systems, and automated testing frameworks
• Familiarity with avionics software development lifecycles and industry standards is a plus., Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.
