Requirements

We’re looking for a junior to mid-level experiencedsoftware automation engineer who demonstrates:

  • strong collaboration skills

  • passion for producing quality code and dedicated to best practices such as automated testing, code reviews, continuous integration, and continuous deployment

  • skill at interacting and working with people in a positive manner to mitigate key project technical risks and ensure quality

Requirements:

  • Has solid understanding of writing software in a system-level programming language (C, C++, Rust)
  • Proven foundation in Computer Science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, operating systems, object-oriented design)
  • Understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Groovy, GitHub)
  • Experience with or a strong willingness to learn infrastructure automation and platform engineering technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet and OpenStack
  • Proficient with Linux
  • Python or similar scripting language
  • Outstanding problem solving and trouble-shooting skills
  • Excellent teammate who enjoys a collaborative team environment

Relevant Experience:

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in software development
  • 2+ years development in a system-level programming language
  • Working on an Agile software development team
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience

Bonus Skills:

  • Familiarity with DNS at the protocol level
  • Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes
  • Exposure to behavior-driven testing frameworks such as Python Behave or Cucumber

Benefits & conditions

The pay range is $108,900 - $147,300.

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is noted above, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience. Verisign offers a discretionary bonus which is based on individual and company performance, and certain roles may be eligible for discretionary stock awards.
