Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative education team responsible for developing high-quality online learning for a professional membership community.

As an eLearning Designer, you will work closely with subject matter experts and authors to transform initial content into clear, engaging and well-structured digital learning. You will guide authors through the development process, refine and challenge content where required, and manage modules from initial concept through to production.

Alongside learning design, you will develop interactive content using Articulate Storyline, improve existing templates and explore new approaches to digital learning. You will play an important role in strengthening the organisation’s in-house eLearning capability and bringing fresh ideas to its online learning.

Requirements

  • Strong eLearning and instructional design experience
  • Extensive experience developing interactive content in Articulate Storyline
  • Experience working directly with SMEs, academics or specialist authors
  • Ability to guide SMEs through storyboards, templates and the content-development process
  • Strong content-editing skills and confidence refining source material
  • Experience managing eLearning from initial draft through to build and final delivery
  • Experience adapting existing eLearning templates and introducing new ideas
  • Previous experience working with an LMS
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Desirable Experience

  • Experience using D2L or a similar LMS
  • Experience developing eLearning within a professional membership, healthcare or education environment
  • Experience exploring different digital learning formats, including video

This is a really exciting opportunity to join an established organisation, take ownership of engaging eLearning projects and help develop their in-house digital learning capability.

About the company

You will be working with a leading professional membership organisation within the healthcare sector, supporting specialist professionals across the UK.

The organisation provides education, training and professional development to its members, with a strong focus on maintaining professional standards and delivering high-quality learning opportunities.
