  • Prototype, assemble, solder, debug and test electronic circuits and PCBs, including SMD components.
  • Develop and upgrade existing products, working closely with Senior Engineers, Management and Field Engineers.
  • Develop test equipment and production test rigs to support manufacturing.
  • Ensure designs meet required quality, cost and project timescales.
  • Produce technical documentation covering design specifications, test results and project progress.

Requirements

  • BSc/BEng in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong C/C++ embedded software development experience.
  • Experience with PIC32, STM32, Raspberry Pi Pico and/or ATMega microcontrollers.
  • Strong knowledge of analogue and digital electronics and component-level fault finding.
  • PCB design experience using Altium or KiCad.
  • Knowledge of CAN, I2C, SPI, RS485 and BLE communication protocols.
  • Practical PCB assembly and SMD hand-soldering skills.
  • Confident using electronic test equipment and troubleshooting hardware/software.
  • Good IT/ICT skills; relevant CLE/CESE certification would be advantageous.

We are looking for someone who is technically curious, hands-on and highly analytical, with excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

You will be organised, able to manage your own workload, comfortable working independently and as part of a team, and confident communicating technical information. Most importantly, you will have a genuine passion for technology, a positive attitude and a desire to develop your career.
