Job description
- Lead Technical Leads, Architects, and a mixed onshore/offshore team supporting enterprise integration and API platforms
- Manage a team of approximately 13-14 contractors plus onshore technical leads and full-time engineers
- Oversee MuleSoft, ESB technologies, and enterprise API ecosystems while driving modernization and cloud-native adoption
- Establish architectural standards, governance frameworks, and design reviews; partner with engineering, product, and security teams for aligned delivery
- Guide API-first, microservices, SOA, event-driven, and cloud integration practices across Azure (preferred), AWS, or Google Cloud Platform
- Ensure platform stability, incident response, high-quality engineering practices, and continuous improvement
- Support long-term modernization roadmaps, promote automation (including AI-driven automation), and encourage ongoing technical growth
- Continuously evaluate and adopt emerging technologies, tools, and integration approaches through a self-starter mindset
Requirements
- 5+ years of recent, handson engineering work with MuleSoft
- Must already be onboarded in MuleSoft environments and capable of providing architectural leadership from day one
- 1+ year of direct people management experience, including hiring, performance management, and team leadership capacity
- Experience providing architectural guidance in SOA at enterprise level
- Strong communication skills
- Deep technical background in APIs, SOA, microservices, and architectural best practices
- Ability to champion APIfirst, microservices, SOA, and cloudnative approaches
- Provide technical direction and governance for Mulesoft
- Critical requirement: oversight of Mulesoft, ESB platforms
- Strong appetite for continuous learning and expanding technical breadth
- Solid understanding of SOA, APIfirst integration, microservices, SSO, and container platforms
- Familiarity with cloud platforms Azure preferred, but AWS or Google Cloud Platform also relevant
- Broad understanding of cloud integration and migration strategies
- Lead architectural governance, standards, design reviews, and collaborate with engineering, product, and security teams to ensure cohesive delivery
- Highlevel understanding of security architecture, including API security, identity and access models (OAuth, OIDC), zerotrust concepts, and secure cloud design
- Must demonstrate active engagement with modern technologies (POCs, emerging AI concepts, etc.)
