Job description

Backend Java Developer with 7-8 years of experience and strong expertise in Java, Kafka, Spring WebFlux, and GraphQL. This role will help design, build, and support responsive, efficient, and scalable backend services for enterprise applications. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in modern backend development, event-driven architecture, reactive programming, API design, and cloud-native deployment practices., * Develop and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot, incorporating robust security practices with Spring Security.

  • Design and implement GraphQL APIs to support flexible, efficient data retrieval and manipulation.
  • Apply reactive programming concepts using Spring WebFlux to build non-blocking, responsive, and resilient applications.
  • Manage Kafka-based event-driven architectures, including event streaming, topic configuration, and Spring Boot integration with Kafka.
  • Create custom Kafka producers and consumers using Java and Spring Boot for reliable message processing and handling.
  • Support and enhance Kafka implementations using Confluent Cloud where applicable.
  • Implement and maintain data management solutions using MyBatis, JDBC, and SQL.
  • Deploy applications on Tomcat while ensuring high availability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Use Maven for dependency management and Docker for application containerization.
  • Support container orchestration and application scaling using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Follow test-driven development practices to improve code quality and long-term maintainability.
  • Develop CI pipelines using GitLab CI and support deployments using Helm where applicable.

Requirements

  • 7-8 years of experience in backend development with Java, Kafka, Spring WebFlux, and GraphQL.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of reactive programming concepts and their application in Spring WebFlux.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing GraphQL APIs.
  • Experience with Spring Boot 2.7 or higher and Spring Security 5.x preferred.
  • Understanding of OAuth and JWT is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
