Job description

The candidate will support the IEDR7 project, which consolidates existing Imaging, Enterprise Document Repository, and On-site Scanning systems. The platform enables local social service districts (LSSDs) and NYS human service agencies to scan, index, and retrieve client images and documents across programs like Medical Assistance (MA), HEAP, Temporary Assistance (TA), and SNAP. Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Application Design & Development: Design and build applications aligned with business requirements and JAD session use cases.
Integration Guidance: Provide integration expertise spanning J2EE, WebSphere, JBoss Enterprise Application Server, Web Services, Oracle, IBM MQ, FileNet, and Unisys Mainframes.
Software Configuration Management: Manage Java builds/deployments using Hudson, ANT, Maven, Jenkins, and SVN.
Solution Architecture & Prototyping: Interpret requirements, estimate work, build prototypes, and architect improvements aligned with NYS ITS standards.
Documentation & Demos: Create technical documentation, deliver solution demos to SMEs and tech leads, and mentor State staff.
Support: Troubleshoot issues and deliver end-user problem resolution.

Requirements

Skill Level: Senior (60-84 months of overall experience working independently, setting standards, and guiding technical teams).
Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA): 84+ months designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-level SOA platforms.
N-Tier J2EE Development: 84+ months designing and implementing N-Tier J2EE applications.
Modern Front-End: 24+ months designing and developing front-end solutions using Angular or Node.js.
Web Security Protocols: 48+ months developing Java solutions with LDAP and Okta integration.
Testing: 72+ months testing Java and front-end applications.
Technical Documentation: 48+ months creating technical and user documentation for enterprise applications.
