Job description

Support testing and calibration of sensors, troubleshoot electrical systems, and assist in data collection for turbine engine development. Job #136352 Manufacturing, The data acquisition technician will be responsible for supporting the development and deployment of data acquisition equipment for testing complex turbine engine products. They will assist in testing and validation processes to support product development, certification, and operational standards within the organization., * Work with Excel spreadsheets to adjust sensor parameters and troubleshoot electrical cables and signals.

  • Troubleshoot IP addresses of equipment and understand sensors used on test articles, including voltage signals, pressure sensors, and temperature sensors.
  • Utilize Linux operating systems and decipher basic code for troubleshooting purposes.
  • Support testing and validation activities to ensure compliance with standards and product quality.
  • Collaborate with engineers and technicians to improve data acquisition systems and processes.
  • Contribute to the development of new concepts, standards, and processes across functional areas.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in electrical/electronic technologies or 2+ years of industry experience.
  • U.S. citizenship is required., * Understanding of data acquisition products and industry standard processes, especially low speed data acquisition.
  • Knowledge of sensors such as accelerometers, thermocouples, pressure transducers, and strain gages.
  • Experience in using pressure and temperature systems, frequency counters, and voltage data acquisition systems.
  • Skills in cable fabrication, including soldering and crimping.
  • Experience working with manufacturing processes in a test environment.
  • Strong planning, execution, and project management skills, with proactive initiative.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members and customers.
  • Experience with Linux and Microsoft Office.
