Job description
As a Test Engineer, you are responsible for using your electronics expertise to develop both the test strategy and the test setup for our products. You work with both hardware and software, designing and programming the test setup and implementing it in the production environment where the testing takes place. This is a development focused role, with a strong emphasis on creating electronic test solutions.
You analyze existing designs and determine the most complete and effective test strategy. You do this in close collaboration with colleagues and electronics developers, both internally and externally at the customer. After defining the strategy, you implement the tests in production. Based on the test results, you define and execute improvement actions to optimize the test strategy. We develop tests for PCBA s as well as complete end products. Together with your colleagues a team of four Test Engineers you ensure that production issues are detected quickly and that defective test setups are repaired promptly., * Continuously improving both existing and new tests and test methods.
- Reviewing customer requests together with the Account Engineer or Account Manager and providing input from a Test Engineering perspective.
- Discussing the technical aspects of outsourcing work to Neways production locations abroad.
- Advising electronics developers on the testability of new products.
- Preparing test documentation and maintenance instructions.
- Guiding and training testers and repair technicians on newly developed tests.
Requirements
- You have a bachelor s degree in Electrical/ Electronics engineering.
- You are familiar with electronic design and how electronics function.
- You can read, interpret, and analyze technical product documentation.
- You have an affinity with software development.
- You have strong verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch and English.
