Job description

Grow your career as a Data Modeler with an innovative global bank in Irving, TX. Contract role with strong possibility of extension and/or conversion. Will require working a hybrid schedule 3 days onsite per week. You will work alongside some of the smartest minds in the industry who are excited to share their knowledge and to learn from, Maintain and enhance a robust data catalog that meets the needs of technology, business and operations. Map data domain - map (or link) the data domains and data concept(s) to data source(s), and identify the system of origin, system of record, and authoritative provisioning point, as applicable. Maintain the Business Glossary of definitions for data assets. Identify, track and document the data lineage of the data assets. Monitor data quality process, identify data quality issue patterns, apply remediation plans, implementation of data controls, and manage data quality remediation strategies. Engage with stakeholders across the organization to understand processes that generate, transform, and distribute data. Serve as a binding and bridging agent between business analysts, data producers, data engineers, data scientists, and other knowledge workers across various parts of the organization. Aditya Kumar

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Engineering (electronics) and/or Computer Science Extensive experience with data governance toolsets such as Collibra. Broad-based literacy of all the various technology functions within a large enterprise. Strong knowledge of relational and non-relational data storage. Experience overcoming typical challenges encountered in data use, storage, quality, and control. Understanding of technical and business process mapping, data flows, data tracing and data lineage. Operational familiarity in information cataloging and metadata management, optimally with a focus around key measure determination. Experience with data analysis, SQL, and query structuring. Experience in data quality techniques and technologies. Understanding and appreciation for ETL and visualization processes. Ability to work with a virtual and remote international team. Experience building data products or solutions. Experience with data architecting concepts. Experience in a data governance role. Audit support or performance experience. Knowledge of various data handling and privacy regulations.
