IT Unit Assistant

Exact Staff is hiring an IT Unit Assistant to support a local government election office with technology and equipment needs during the upcoming election season. This is a great opportunity for someone with basic computer or technology experience who is dependable and enjoys hands-on work. You don’t need to be an advanced IT professional - just comfortable working with computers and electronic equipment. This is a temporary position running September through the end of November.

This position is ideal for individuals with basic computer support, IT, or hands-on equipment experience.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Set up, move, organize, and test computers and other equipment
• Assist with printers, monitors, cables, and other technology
• Help prepare and organize equipment for election activities
• Move and load/unload equipment and supplies
• Perform basic troubleshooting and report issues to IT staff
• Keep equipment and work areas organized

• Comfortable learning and working with basic IT equipment
• Dependable and able to follow instructions
• Comfortable being on your feet for most of the day
• Able to lift and carry at least 40 lbs
• Comfortable with physical work, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and moving equipment
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
