Job description

As a Sr Advanced Onsite Support Firmware/Software Engineer for the Torpedo Systems Group, you will work with engineering teams to develop, deliver, and maintain software and firmware products. Additionally, you will be the government customer onsite and frontline engineering representative as needed and when new products are delivered to help with installation, troubleshooting issues, and assist in corrective actions across several development programs.

  • FPGA design, simulation, and documentation
  • C programming, multithreaded programming, or real-time operating systems
  • Hardware and firmware development tools
  • Linux environment experience
  • Hardware troubleshooting using tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies

What you’ll experience:

  • Design and verify FPGA systems, including system simulation, testing, and optimization
  • Collaborate on hardware and firmware integration in a Linux environment
  • Contribute to the full development lifecycle, from design to deployment
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues using industry-standard tools
  • Support product installations and work directly with government customers on-site

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience., CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required., * Advanced experience in FPGA design, simulation, and system architecture

  • Strong understanding of FPGA process flows including synthesis and timing
  • Proficiency in C programming, multithreaded programming, and real-time operating systems
  • Hands-on experience with hardware and firmware development tools
  • Version control experience, with Git preferred
