Senior Software Developer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Software Developer to join a collaborative digital team responsible for developing and maintaining a wide range of business-critical applications, services and platforms. This role is ideal for a highly skilled developer who enjoys working across the full software development lifecycle, mentoring others and contributing to the ongoing evolution of modern digital solutions., As a Senior Software Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing and supporting web, mobile and cloud-based applications. Working closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders, you will help deliver innovative solutions while ensuring development follows industry best practice, security standards and organisational objectives., * Developing new applications and functionality while maintaining and enhancing existing systems

• Writing clean, efficient and testable code across front-end and back-end technologies
• Gathering requirements and collaborating with stakeholders to define technical solutions
• Supporting and mentoring junior developers through code reviews and knowledge sharing
• Designing, developing and maintaining APIs and integrations with third-party systems
• Supporting cloud infrastructure and ensuring applications are secure, scalable and reliable
• Implementing development best practices including testing, version control and documentation
• Contributing to architecture decisions and recommending new technologies and approaches
• Managing and improving automated workflows and deployment processes
• Supporting user acceptance testing and ensuring high-quality software delivery
• Maintaining accurate documentation of systems, requirements and enhancements
• Working collaboratively across teams to deliver digital projects and continuous improvements

• Strong commercial experience in software development
• Highly proficient in Python, Django, JavaScript, HTML and CSS
• Experience with database design and SQL
• Strong knowledge of Git and collaborative development workflows
• Experience developing with React and/or React Native
• Experience supporting and working within AWS environments
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, including testing and documentation
• Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills
• Experience mentoring or supporting more junior developers
