Job description

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain applications using Ruby on Rails.
  • Design, develop, and consume RESTful APIs and microservices.
  • Perform application modernization, including Rails version upgrades and dependency management.
  • Analyze and remediate security vulnerabilities, CVEs, and code quality issues.
  • Collaborate with product owners, architects, QA teams, and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced application modernization environment.
  • Capable of contributing from day one with minimal hand-holding

Requirements

Primary Skills

  • 10+ years of experience in Ruby on Rails development
  • Strong knowledge of Ruby, Rails 6.x/7.x/8.x
  • Experience in REST APIs development and integration
  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or other relational databases
  • Hands-on experience with Git/GitHub
  • Experience with RSpec, Minitest, or similar testing frameworks
  • Strong debugging and performance tuning skills Secondary Skills

  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Exposure to AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
  • Knowledge of Redis, Sidekiq, and background job processing
  • Familiarity with Helm and ArgoCD
  • Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies, * Experience in healthcare, payer, pharmacy, or provider domains.
  • Experience performing Rails upgrades and application modernization.
  • Knowledge of security remediation and vulnerability management.
  • Experience working in large enterprise environments.
  • Exposure to AI-assisted development platforms such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, or AI Dev Toolkit.
