Job description

Develop, enhance, and maintain applications using Ruby on Rails.
Design, develop, and consume RESTful APIs and microservices.
Perform application modernization, including Rails version upgrades and dependency management.
Analyze and remediate security vulnerabilities, CVEs, and code quality issues.
Collaborate with product owners, architects, QA teams, and business stakeholders.
Ability to work in a fast-paced application modernization environment.
Capable of contributing from day one with minimal hand-holding

Requirements

Primary Skills

10+ years of experience in Ruby on Rails development
Strong knowledge of Ruby, Rails 6.x/7.x/8.x
Experience in REST APIs development and integration
Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts
Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or other relational databases
Hands-on experience with Git/GitHub
Experience with RSpec, Minitest, or similar testing frameworks
Strong debugging and performance tuning skills Secondary Skills
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Exposure to AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
Knowledge of Redis, Sidekiq, and background job processing
Familiarity with Helm and ArgoCD
Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies, * Experience in healthcare, payer, pharmacy, or provider domains.
Experience performing Rails upgrades and application modernization.
Knowledge of security remediation and vulnerability management.
Experience working in large enterprise environments.
Exposure to AI-assisted development platforms such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, or AI Dev Toolkit.
