Job description
- Activate LAN jacks.
- Install Cisco switches and equipment.
- Make configuration changes to Cisco switches.
- Build and/or install networking cables as needed.
- Implement and maintain proper wire management.
- Install and maintain Cisco wireless access points.
- Troubleshoot networking issues for ISU Faculty, Staff and Students.
- Maintain APC uninterrupted power supplies.
- Use specialized equipment such as a DTX, Link runner Pro, Ether scope, and OneTouch to diagnose cabling issues on the ISU Campus.
- Document actions/issues through EMAIL and Help Desk ticket system to Office of Information Technology Staff.
- Regular cleaning and maintenance of IDFs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
