Job description

Responsible for installations, administration and maintenance of assigned servers and/or systems. Perform system monitoring and verify the integrity and availability of hardware, network, and server resources and systems.

Essential Functions

  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and associated peripheral equipment.

  • Maintain operating efficiency and stability, ensure the security and integrity of all systems and data, and respond to outages and other issues.

  • Perform application administration activities such as creating, modifying, and deleting users, optimizing remote access, and security access for messaging systems, databases, and web applications.

  • Monitor network performance to help determine whether adjustments are needed and where changes will be needed in the future.

  • Test computer hardware, networking software and operating system software.

  • Educates colleagues and end-users on process flows, workflows, and data flows. Provides user training for workflows

Requirements

Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, Education Bachelor’s Degree Information Systems required or Bachelor’s Degree Related Field of Study required

Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? Yes

Licenses and Credentials

Experience Experience in IT working with systems 1-2 years required and Experience with systems/servers in a large networked environment 1-2 years preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Proficient commitment to customer service.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi task and prioritize work requirements.
  • Knowledge of Network Operating System: Microsoft Windows Servers.
  • Knowledge of Unix and Linux.
  • Ability to analyze data.
