Job description
- Design, develop, test, and debug embedded software using C and C++.
- Develop low-level software components, boot processes, and system initialization modules.
- Work extensively within Linux-based embedded environments.
- Support embedded system bring-up, debugging, and system-level integration.
- Troubleshoot software defects and optimize system performance.
- Collaborate with systems engineers and hardware teams during development and integration.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging sessions, and software validation activities.
- Take ownership of assigned development tasks while working independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Contribute to the design, implementation, and testing of next-generation embedded platforms.
Requirements
We are looking for a hands-on Embedded Software Engineer to support a new project initiative with One of our client. This is a mid-to-senior level role focused on low-level embedded software development, system programming, and testing for next-generation embedded platforms.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Embedded C/C++, Linux, bootloaders, and embedded systems development, with the ability to independently design, develop, test, and debug software in a fast-paced engineering environment. This position is highly coding-intensive, with approximately 80-90% of the work focused on software development., * 5-8+ years of hands-on Embedded Software Development experience.
- Strong programming skills in C and C++.
- Solid experience working with Linux operating systems.
- Experience with Bootloaders, Boot Process, and Low-Level System Initialization.
- Strong understanding of embedded systems architecture.
- Experience with software debugging, testing, and performance optimization.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Nice to Have
- Automotive embedded software development experience.
- Experience with embedded platforms from companies such as Qualcomm, NVIDIA, Texas Instruments, NXP, Visteon, or similar semiconductor/embedded organizations.
- Experience working with networking or embedded hardware companies such as Cisco, Arista, or Juniper.
- Familiarity with embedded hardware bring-up and system-level debugging.
