Job description

Experteer Overview In this role you design and implement the server-side foundation to transform Castle Busters from client-driven to server-validated multiplayer.You join a focused internal studio working on a high-potential prototype, leveraging Voodoo’s shared backend to scale a competitive PvP experience.You partner with client engineers and game designers to evolve APIs, player-state management, and server authority.You will shape the architecture, impact game economics, and drive the transition toward a trusted, centralized game state.This is a pivotal position with a strong focus on scalable backend systems and game-scale challenges.Compensaciones / Beneficios * Build server-side validation for metagame components (currency, upgrades, chests, progression) * Move toward server authority for competitive features and centralized game state * Design APIs and player-state management for Unity client integration * Develop cross-functional infrastructure, API design, and server-to-client split of responsibilities * Collaborate with client engineers and game designers from design to delivery * Contribute to leveraging and evolving the shared gaming backend platform Responsabilidades * 7+ years of backend development experience * Fluency in Golang (minimum 1 year professional) * Mastery of SQL and NoSQL * Background in high-scale systems * Unix-like environment experience * Experience in cross-functional agile teams * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Excellent communication and collaboration skills * Ability to work autonomously * Deep interest in game development (plus) Requisitos principales * Best-in-class compensation * Benefits according to country of residence
