Job description

Hotstart, Inc. has an opening for a Systems Engineer to support our growth of thermal management solutions. This position will work closely with production support and design engineering teams to better serve our internal and external customers., * Support Manufacturing Engineering initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction.

  • Develop and implement automation solutions for new and existing manufacturing processes.
  • Manage projects from start to finish, including creating project plans, coordinating resources, tracking progress, and reporting results to management
  • Integrate barcode scanners, vision systems, sensors, robotics, and other manufacturing technologies.
  • Improve and develop productions systems with lock-in place and/or alarm features, safety interlocks, robot programming, vision system integration, scanner integration, and PCL code.
  • Participate in root cause investigations and corrective actions for quality and production issues.
  • Assist in evaluating and implementing emerging manufacturing technologies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve controls-related production issues to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable electrical, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Understanding of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
  • Understanding of PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, I/O VFD, servos, and motion control systems.
  • Understanding of MES and ERP integrations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to teach
  • Ability to integrate sensors, cameras, and safety devices.
  • Ability to work well under compressed time constraints and multi-task
  • Ability to work productively within a team setting or independently
  • Knowledge of manufacturing quality systems and process controls
  • 10+ years of experience
  • BS or MS in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
