Job description

  • Define end-to-end target-state architectures for scalable, resilient, cloud-native enterprise applications and platforms.
  • Design modern architectures leveraging Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, AWS, Oracle, Snowflake, APIs, event-driven systems, and distributed architectures.
  • Develop architecture roadmaps aligned with business strategy, modernization goals, and long-term technology direction.
  • Define architectural standards and reusable patterns for application, integration, data, cloud, and AI platforms.
  • Ensure architectures meet stringent performance, scalability, availability, resiliency, and maintainability requirements, including 99.99% availability targets where applicable.
  1. Full-Stack Java & Microservices Architecture
  • Provide architectural leadership for Java-based full-stack applications and microservices platforms.
  • Define scalable service architectures using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, GraphQL, WebSockets, and event-driven patterns.
  • Establish standards for service decomposition, API design, security, observability, containerization, and deployment.
  • Guide engineering teams on distributed systems, asynchronous processing, messaging, caching, and high-volume transaction processing.
  • Drive modernization of legacy applications toward cloud-native and microservices-based architectures., * Design enterprise-grade architectures incorporating Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, AI agents, and AI-powered copilots.
  • Define secure integration patterns between AI services, enterprise applications, APIs, databases, and knowledge repositories.
  • Establish AI architecture guardrails covering data privacy, model security, prompt management, context management, latency, scalability, and responsible AI.
  • Design RAG architectures that enable secure retrieval of enterprise information while maintaining appropriate data isolation and access controls.
  • Evaluate AI platforms, models, frameworks, and emerging technologies for enterprise adoption and production scalability., * Architect and govern solutions leveraging AWS cloud services, Oracle databases, Snowflake, Kafka/AWS Kinesis, APIs, and enterprise integration platforms.
  • Define real-time and batch data integration patterns across applications, databases, data platforms, and cloud environments.
  • Establish standards for API orchestration, event streaming, data movement, data security, and system interoperability.
  • Ensure seamless integration between CRM, ERP, customer-facing applications, enterprise systems, and systems of record.
  • Drive cloud modernization, migration, and hybrid-cloud architecture strategies.
  1. Enterprise Architecture Governance
  • Create and maintain Architecture Decision Records (ADRs), solution architecture documents, reference architectures, and technical standards.
  • Present architectural designs and recommendations to Enterprise Architecture Review Boards and senior technology leadership.
  • Define and govern non-functional requirements (NFRs) including performance, availability, scalability, security, RTO, RPO, and disaster recovery.
  • Establish architecture principles and ensure engineering teams adhere to approved enterprise standards.
  • Partner with security teams to ensure compliance with Zero Trust, PCI-DSS, GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
  1. Technology Strategy & Vendor Evaluation
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, platforms, products, and third-party solutions based on technical fit, security, scalability, integration complexity, and total cost of ownership (TCO).
  • Lead technical POCs, architecture spikes, technology evaluations, and modernization initiatives.
  • Provide recommendations on build-vs-buy decisions and platform selection.
  • Develop migration strategies and sequencing plans using patterns such as the Strangler Fig pattern.
  • Partner with engineering, product, infrastructure, data, security, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable technology strategies.
  1. Technical Leadership & Collaboration
  • Provide technical direction and mentorship to Senior Engineers, Technical Leads, Solution Architects, and development teams.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and technology leadership to align architecture with business priorities.
  • Communicate complex architectural concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Drive architectural consistency across multiple applications, platforms, and engineering teams.
