Comm DSP Systems Engineer

• Bachelors Degree, Masters, or PhD.
• 10+ years of related experience
• 6+ years of experience with signal processing or image processing
• 10+ years of experience with electronic systems engineering
• Experience with the development of algorithms for hardware implementation on ASICs or FPGAs preferred
• Digital Signal Processing based classes, project or work experience preferred
• Simulink experience in work or school preferred
• Verification planning and principles, while applying their theoretical knowledge in resoling real world problems

• Pay: $93-112 hr based on experience
• 6-month assignment possibility of extension or conversion based on performance and budget
• Mon - Fri
• Design and develop state of the art, space-based communication systems for commercial, civil, and national security programs
• Work with domestic and international customers on the latest satellite systems
• Design and develop next generation RF, and digital satellite communication systems
• Develop and verify multi-rate fixed point digital signal processing architectures
• Allocate, define, and verify requirements and interfaces in the development of communication digital payloads
• Develop performance and link budgets
• Conduct performance analysis of signal processing models
• Execute payload system trade studies to improve performance cost and/or schedule
• Develop prototype demonstrations on communication subsystem testbeds
• Plan unit-level integration and performance simulations
• Support ASIC and FPGA level system design and verification
• Support hardware procurement, design reviews, and unit sell-offs.
